I have been reading the Maximum Ride series and I'm waiting for the 6th one to come out. It's about these flying kids who are trying to stop global warming and things like that. The series are really addicting, James Patterson is a great writer! Oh, I'm off track. Anyway, I recently got an eMail (sorry, that's just how I like to spell it, kinda like iPod, el oh el) from Youtube saying that Peacegiver7 has invited me to be friends. I checked out the channel and it was a channel trying to get people to eat vegan, recycle, stop animal abuse, etc. I know a few of my faithful followers are vegan, way to go. It might seem dorky or boring but we need to take better care of the world, sob sob. By the way did you know that recycling just one aluminum soda can can save enough energy to operate a TV for three hours? Recycling eight cans would save enough for 24 hours!

There are so many itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot–well, maybe not yellow polka dot, but small things we can do to help, such as recycling, making a compost area in your yard, eat less meat, don't play video games for hours everyday (ya hear that, little bro?), etc.

Today's date: Already Too Late!

Hey peeps. I know I haven't updated my blog since Paris, but school started and I haven't been traveling that much. But I don't think I am gonna use this blog just for traveling. I don't travel too much during the school year.

So anyway i was watching something on Youtube when this ad popped up. It was entitled "What Simpson Are You?" Since I like the Simpsons I took it and look who I was.You are Bart! Hey, don't have a cow. You love playing pranks, eating junk food, and playing video games. Oh, and school isn't one of your favorite things.

Now, I like playing pranks OK, I don't care too much about junk food (I like it, but I don't eat it every day), and I like video games a little bit. I only play them half an hour a day on average, which is a small amount of time compared to my brother who plays 5 hours a day when he can.
And I like school a lot. Lesson: Don't believe any personality quizzes.

Paris

Because I did a couple of posts about London, I am going to do a couple of posts about Paris.

July 23- We took a train through an underwater tunnel called the Chunnel. We got to the apartment we were borrowing and crashed. Nothing much to say other than that.

July 24- We went to a cultural center called the Pompideau Center. We mainly looked at the art part. What's cool about it is the architecture, and that you can see the Eiffle Tower from the top of it. Then we went to a famous church called Notre Dame. It is so fancy and worth seeing. We took a boat down the Seine River to the Eiffle Tower. We didn't go up, though.

July 25-We woke up and went to an art museum called the Musée d'Orsay. Then we bought food and had a picnic at the Eiffle Tower. We bought more food, went to the apartment, and crashed.

July 26- We went and saw ANOTHER art museum called the Louvre, and we saw MONA LISA!!! Then we went to Arc d' Triumph, which is this monument that Napoleon (NOT Dynamite) had made for himself. You can see all of Paris from the top, SO cool. We ate escargots
(snails) and crashed.

July 27- We went to a castle called Versailles Palace, which is this HUGE castle, and ate more snails. Pretty much it.

July 28- Went to a Picasso Museum and rested up for the rest of the day.

Hi! I have SO much to say in 1 post. I'll do my best. O.k., so first, of course, I rode a plane to London. It took about 8 hours. If you have to ride a plane for that long, always try to sleep for most of it. I slept, but it was very light. It was more of a time passing sleep. Anyway, we got there, had lunch, slept (we were ALL tired), and we rode this thing called the London Eye. It is sort of like a HUGE Ferris wheel, but there are more people in this egg-shaped room that moves around. It is always moving very slowly. At the top you can see all of London. It is awesome. Then we went to bed so we could wake up to hard core sightseeing. We saw Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in London. SO cool, but I won't spoil it for you if you haven't seen it. Then we saw Westmister Abbey, Big Ben, and Parliament. A lot of people think that Big Ben is the name of the tower, but it is really the name of the bell inside. Then we went to the British Library. We saw the REAL copy of Handel's Messiah!!! Then we went to The National Gallery. After that we went to the British Museum, and we saw the ACTUAL Rosetta Stone!!! We took a sightseeing bus tour to the hotel and crashed. (If you are wondering how we get to places, we take underground trains called Tubes.) I am SO TIRED. But today, we are going to Paris! Ooh-la-la!

I'm going to Europe!!!

Hello to my few fans! So most of you know that I am going to Europe today. We are going to fly to London, stay for about 4 days (I'm not so sure), take an underwater train called the Chunnel to Paris, stay for a week, fly to a city in Italy, bounce around a lot of cities (I forgot which ones) and stay in each city for 2 nights, and fly home from Rome. Whew!
I will try to upload my blog in Europe. I will have wireless for about 2 thirds of the trip. So tune in every day!

Camping tips

Hi! I got back from camp a few days ago, and I wanted to give you some camping tips.

1. If you are going camping with someone, bring deoderant.

2. Never put food in your tent. Ants, raccoons, and even bears can invade it.

3. Always have insect repellent!!!!!

4. Bring rain gear, because your tent is your only shelter.

5. Don't eat too many smores.

6. Have fun!

I don't have anything else to do, so I will show you some cute pics of my dog, Otis. He is half Schnauzer, half Bichon: a Bichsnauz. He was puppy milled, and then foster homed. He knows his name well, and also responds to "dog." We named him Otis because Otis Redding wrote a song called "Mr. Pitiful", and Otis is SO pitiful. But he is more playful now!

Hi. Lately I have been very bored. If your have the summer blahs, here are some crazy things you can do:

•If you have an apple computer, turn on the speech commands. It is fun to play with.

•Smash eggs with wireless game controllers.

•Rip up the kitchen floor just for the heck of it.

•Publish your homemade comic books.

•Make mini tornadoes out of fans, humidifires, and binders.

•Make a list of ways to get detention.

•Replace the lightbulbs in your house with potatoes.

•Tie dye the dog.

•Find the nearest flagpole and replace the flag with your brother's undies.

Now you have an idea of what goes on in my house...

was really 11:00 A.M. Central Time!! So if you go to AL, bring rain gear.

Hey, I'm back! As some of you know, I went to Florida and Alabama to visit my relatives. Here are some tips for surviving 2 days in the car: 1. Always have something to keep you busy, but be careful so you don't get carsick. 2. Always have a couple barf bags with you. 3. NEVER drink any kind of coffee without eating first, the results will be sickly if you do. 4. Don't fight with a brother or sister, if you do your parents will get mad and the trip won't be fun. If you follow these tips, you can survive a car trip easily.
Anyway, something hilarious happened on the way there. This truck had a bunch of Portapotties, and they fell off. So there were blue portable toilets emptied on the road, which was hilarious. Also, on the first night in Alabama, there was a tornado. On another day, it rained so much so that at 11:00 A.M., It was so dark out that it looked like nighttime. On that same day, we went to an art museum. It had all kinds of art, from Roman statues to Frank Loyd Wright windows to Monet paintings. We were going to see some ninja swords, but they took them out.
On to Florida. We did exactly what you would do in Florida: ate sushi and relaxed on the beach. One thing I have to say about Florida: the beaches are SO pretty. White sand, no lifeguard, bluish-greenish-grayish water. It looked like a painting.
That's all I have to say. Next trip I am taking: 4-H camp in the Poconos!

Hey, hey, hey, it's Allegra. But everyone calls me Allie. So I'm starting to write a funny "on the road" blog. It can also slice bagels (i wish).

So anyway, tomorrow i am going to Washington, D.C. for a class field trip.
